By accessing or using Carcasso at carcasso.com.au, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all users, including free tier users and paid subscribers.
Carcasso provides joinery design and planning software, with PDF drawing export, for trade professionals, designers and homeowners in Australia. The service includes:
Not included today / planned: Cut lists, hardware schedules, quotes, invoices and CNC/machining files are not part of Carcasso today. We plan to offer them later as a separate paid plan or add-on; they are not included in the current Pro price, and we will publish their price and inclusions before they are available. Carcasso does not show prices or costs for your jobs.
Important — output accuracy: All PDF outputs, drawings, elevations, sizes and sheet counts are guides to assist your professional workflow. They are not certified engineering drawings. You must verify all measurements against the physical site before ordering materials, manufacturing, or installing any cabinetry. We are not liable for errors arising from incorrect input data provided by you, or decisions made based on Carcasso output without independent verification.
To use Carcasso you must be:
Carcasso is a design and planning tool. Drawings, sizes and quantities it produces are a starting point: have them checked by a qualified cabinetmaker or installer before anything is made or installed.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.
You may not share your account with others or create multiple accounts for the same person or business. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Carcasso credit line (watermark): Every page of a PDF exported from Carcasso carries a small credit line in the bottom margin: "Made with Carcasso · carcasso.com.au". Pictures saved from the app (such as 3D photos and drawing images) carry the same small credit under the picture. This applies on every plan, including the free trial and Pro, and there is currently no setting to remove it. The only exception is a Plan Pack (Section 5a).
Free tier: Available at no charge after your free trial. Includes 1 job per month. Wardrobe room type only. Exported PDFs carry the Carcasso credit line.
14-day free trial: New accounts automatically receive the Pro features for 14 days at no charge, counted from when the account first uses Carcasso. No credit card is required to start. As on every plan, exported PDFs carry the Carcasso credit line. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the Free tier unless you subscribe to Pro.
Pro plan: AUD $29.00 per month (includes GST). Unlimited jobs. All 8 room types. Exported PDFs carry the Carcasso credit line, as on every plan. Billed monthly in advance and renews monthly until cancelled. Pro covers the features described in Section 2 as they are today; it does not include the planned features listed there as not included.
Business plan: Not yet available. There is no Business plan to buy today; if we launch one, we will publish its price and inclusions here first.
Price: AUD $49.00 (includes GST), paid once through Stripe. A Plan Pack is not a subscription: it does not renew, you are never charged again for it, and it does not give you Pro.
What it covers: one design (one job). It unlocks the full A3 plan set for that design (sheet 1 is free for everyone; the unlock adds the elevations, sections, schedule and 3D sheets) and removes the Carcasso credit line (watermark) from the pages of the cabinetmaker brief and the drawing set you export for that design. Pictures inside them that were made in the app may still show a small credit under the picture. The brief shows the plan, 3D view, overall sizes, colours and a rough board count, ready to hand to a cabinetmaker. It does not include a cut list or hardware schedule, and it does not unlock other designs, other room types or any Pro feature. A different design needs its own Plan Pack.
Access: the unlock is tied to the Stripe payment and the design it was bought for, and is checked against Stripe each time you export. It is remembered on the device you bought it on; if you lose it (for example after signing out or on another device), email [email protected] with your Stripe receipt and we will restore it.
Refunds: if you email us within 7 days of the payment and have not yet exported the watermark-free brief, we will refund it in full. This is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (Section 14), which these terms never exclude.
All prices are in Australian Dollars and include GST at 10%. Carcasso is GST registered (ABN 62 912 909 739, registered from 01 October 2022).
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly in advance on your subscription anniversary date. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. By subscribing you authorise us to charge your nominated payment method through Stripe on each renewal date.
Receipts and tax invoices for your payments are issued by Stripe, our payment provider. If you need a copy, email [email protected] and we will send one.
If a renewal payment fails, Stripe retries it. Your Pro access continues for 7 days after the renewal date, so you have 7 days to update your payment method (from Settings → Subscription → Manage / cancel subscription, or by emailing us). We may also email you about the failed payment. If the payment is still not made after that, your account moves to the Free tier, and it also moves to the Free tier if Stripe ends the subscription after its retries.
We may change our subscription prices. If we increase the price of your current plan, we will give you at least 30 days written notice by email before the new price takes effect. If you do not cancel before the new price takes effect, you will be charged the new price from your next renewal date. You may cancel at any time without penalty if you do not agree to a price change.
You may cancel your subscription at any time from Settings → Subscription → Manage / cancel subscription within the Carcasso app, which opens our payment provider's (Stripe's) billing page, or by emailing [email protected]. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current paid billing period — you will not be charged again and your access to Pro features continues until that date. We do not charge cancellation fees.
After cancellation, your account reverts to the Free tier. We keep your account and saved jobs so you can keep signing in and exporting your PDFs on the Free tier. We do not delete them automatically. You can delete your account yourself from Settings, or ask us to delete your data at any time by emailing [email protected] (see our Privacy Policy for backups and payment records).
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) apply to this service and cannot be excluded by these terms (see Section 14 below).
In addition to your ACL rights, we offer the following voluntary refund policy:
To request a refund, email [email protected] with your account email and the reason for your request.
Note: Nothing in this clause limits your rights to a remedy under the Australian Consumer Law where a service fails to meet a consumer guarantee.
You retain full ownership of all job data, measurements, room designs, and configurations you create in Carcasso. We do not claim any intellectual property rights over your designs or professional work.
PDFs and drawings you generate are yours to use for any commercial or professional purpose, including providing them to clients and fabricators.
You grant us a limited licence to store and process your data solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.
The Carcasso software, source code, user interface design, PDF templates, calculation algorithms, and brand (including the name "Carcasso" and logo) are the intellectual property of Carcasso.
You may not copy, reverse engineer, decompile, modify, sell, sublicense, or redistribute any part of the Carcasso software. You may not use the Carcasso name or logo without our written permission.
You agree not to:
We aim to keep Carcasso available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, upgrades, or circumstances beyond our control.
We may add, modify, or remove features from time to time. For changes that materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan you are subscribed to, we will give you at least 30 days notice by email. If you are not satisfied with a material change, you may cancel your subscription for a proportional refund of unused days.
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, and subject to Section 14 (your ACL rights which cannot be excluded):
Our collection and use of your personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms of Service.
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. For disputes that cannot be resolved through our support team, both parties agree to attempt mediation before commencing court proceedings. Any court proceedings will be conducted in New South Wales, Australia.
Note: For disputes involving Stripe payment processing, Stripe's Regional Terms for Australia also apply — see stripe.com/au/legal.
We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. We will notify all registered users by email at least 30 days before material changes take effect. For non-material changes (such as clarifications or corrections that do not affect your rights), we may update the terms without prior notice. Continued use of Carcasso after the notice period constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
If you do not accept updated terms, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect and receive a refund for unused days in your current billing period.
