A real planner, not a sketch toy.

Carcasso is the same drawing engine Australian cabinet makers use to quote jobs — you get the free design side. Everything you place is a real cabinet with real dimensions, so the study you design is one a workshop can actually build.

A desk run shaped to your wall
Set your wall sizes in millimetres and build the desk, shelving and storage to the actual room — including a return desk if the office turns a corner.
Real cabinet sizes
Built-in desks, drawer and filing pedestals, bookshelf bays, overhead cabinets, credenzas and storage cupboards from a library of over 190 real cabinet types — sized the way workshops actually build them.
Doors, colours and finishes
Choose from 21 door styles and Australian colour ranges (including Polytec-style board colours), and watch the 3D view update live.
Share it with one link
Send one link so family or your cabinet maker sees exactly what you designed — in full 3D, no login needed.

Three steps, one plan.

01

Measure the wall

Type in the wall width, height and depth in millimetres. A rough tape-measure number is enough to start — you can adjust any time.

02

Design the study

Pick the desk, pedestals, bookshelves and overhead cabinets. The plan, elevation and 3D view redraw live as you make each choice.

03

Share it or get it built

Grab a share link for family or a cabinet maker, or use the built-in request form to ask about getting it built.

Straight answers.

Is the planner really free?
Yes. Designing in 3D, sharing a link and saving a photo of your design are free, with no credit card required. Paid plans exist for cabinet makers, but you don't need one to design and share.
What height and depth should a built-in desk be?
It's up to you — you type every measurement in millimetres and can change it any time. Many built-in desks sit around 720 to 750mm high and about 600mm deep, but the planner lets you set whatever suits your chair, monitor and room. Final sizes for a real job are always confirmed by your cabinet maker after a site measure.
Can I design a wall-to-wall home office unit?
Yes. Type in your wall width in millimetres and place a desk run with shelving and cabinets across the whole wall. Every cabinet keeps its real width, so you can see exactly what fits before anyone cuts a board.
What study cabinets are in the library?
Built-in desks and return desks, drawer and filing pedestals, bookshelves and bookcase columns, floating shelves, overhead cabinets and hutches, base cabinets, credenzas, tall storage cupboards and glass display cabinets. Each one is a real cabinet you can resize and recolour.
Does it work on iPad?
Yes. Carcasso runs in the browser on iPad, Mac and Windows — nothing to install. Many people design on the iPad on the couch and share the link from there.
What happens after I design something?
Your design is saved to your free account. You can share it with one link, keep editing it, or use the built-in “get this built” request form if you'd like a cabinet maker to look at it. Final sizes and pricing for a real job are always confirmed by your cabinet maker after a site measure.
